Ireland’s SOPA: A FAQ

TJ McIntyre has compiled a helpful and straight-forward FAQ on Ireland’s SOPA:

This will give the Irish courts an open-ended power to grant orders against ISPs and other intermediaries who provide facilities which might be used to infringe copyright. This would include hosting providers, social networks, forums, video hosting sites – potentially most online services.

    An ill defined law, that is vague and open ended will lead itself to be abused by those in power.

    I am such a law and I’m against the censoring of the internet in such a fashion.

    I agree that piracy is a problem but this is not the solution.
